  • Payment Information: Bank details, mobile money numbers (processed by secure payment providers)
  • Content: Listings, gig posts, messages, reviews, comments, and other content you create

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you use our app, we automatically collect:

  • Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
  • Usage Data: Features used, pages viewed, time spent, search queries, interaction patterns
  • Location Data: Approximate location based on IP address or precise location if you grant permission

7. Location and Campus Information

  • User-Declared Location: To provide a localized experience, we collect information regarding your university affiliation and campus of study during registration. This is used solely to display relevant academic materials, marketplace listings, and campus-specific gigs.

  • Verification & KYC: We do not collect real-time GPS coordinates for general app usage. However, for high-value withdrawals or mandatory vendor verification (KYC), our third-party identity partners (e.g., Paystack/Dojah) may request a one-time location capture to prevent fraud and comply with Nigerian financial regulations. This data is processed directly by the provider and is not used by Learnnr for tracking purposes.

8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep you logged in
  • Remember your preferences
  • Analyze usage patterns
  • Deliver relevant content and advertisements

9. Third-Party Services

Learnnr integrates with third-party services. These services have their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place.

11. Children's Privacy

Learnnr is intended for university students aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 18. If you are under 18, you must have parental consent.

12. Push Notifications

We send push notifications about:

  • New messages and chat activity
  • Transaction updates and payment confirmations
  • Gig bids and marketplace activity
  • Course schedule changes and announcements
  • Account security alerts

You can manage notification preferences in the app settings.

13. Student Identity Verification

To ensure the integrity of our student marketplace and platform, Documents may be reviewed by authorized staff solely for verification purposes and in accordance with our data protection obligations.

All uploaded identification documents are automatically and permanently deleted from our servers within 14 days of successful verification.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through in-app notifications, email, or a prominent notice on the platform.
